Stories of Hope in Life's Transitions

Moving Forward Step by Step with Patience, Day by Day in Hope!

Kevin has been struggling with tough medical issues that has impacted the vitality of his life, especially in the area of work. Kathy, his wife has been going through this transition with him and she has encouraged him to explore his passion which is playing the guitar. He also loves to paint and design them. She encouraged him to explore his dream by making plans to go to Luthier school. A special ring was created with an electric guitar design. The word "dream" was incorporated into the design. Kevin now has started "Dream Guitarworks" which is bringing new energy in this difficult transition.

Saydah is transitioning into new life. She says that in the past she was so blown away by life's storms and made so many mistakes. She doesn't want to repeat the same mistakes so she draws strength from the tree symbol on her ring. "A tree stands solid. It doesn't worry, like people do, about what life around it does. It stays the same. I have been there and back and I will continue to stand until God shows me the next path."

I wear my ring "Burn Brightly" because it reminds me of when God spoke with Moses through a burning bush. The bush was burning with fire, but not consumed. This flame reminds me that God took my heart and set a flame of fire within it. Burning all the pain, hurt, heartaches, disappointments, broken dreams, sorrows, and negative affects of live in general. But at the same time the fire did not consume my hope in God and the promises that I have in Him. It burns until all that's left is the glory of God's presence, which contains the power to transform everything and everyone it touches.

The first time I saw the Transition Rings, the "New Life" design caught my eye. The rising sun reminded me of a scripture from Lamentations which says that God's mercies are new every morning. As our six children grow into adulthood and begin to leave "the nest", I face new challenges every day. The symbol on my ring reminds me that no matter what each day brings, God's love and mercies never end.

Kathy chose "God's Kiss". She is experiencing healing from much hurt and brokenness. She sees it as a daily process. In the morning, as she puts her ring, that resembles a band-aid, on her finger, she reminds herself that God is the protector and healer of her soul. In that healing she experiences God's love daily and passes it along to family and friends.

Cindy has grown up with many transitions. Through every one of them, she has learned forgiveness, love for God, love for herself, and love for others. The "Love" ring expresses the love she showers on people wherever she goes. Her body is weak, and she struggles with health, but In that weakness, the love keeps coming, and the heart on the ring is always there as an affirmation. "This life I'm living, the love I'm giving. It is wonderful. There are no words to describe it. It is far beyond understanding." Cindy says this with great humility because she knows the love reflected in her is from God, Himself!

The number 7 became very significant as I underwent stressful medical treatment in December. My lumpectomy cavity needed to be 7 mm deep in order for me to be eligible for MammoSite radiation. The next day I was told that the cavity depth was 14 mm - the 7 I had prayed for had doubled to two 7's!! The following Bible verse from the book of Micah became special to me during this anxious time: "But as for me, I keep watch for the Lord. I wait in hope for God my Savior; my God will hear me." It was Micah 7:7 - double sevens!! My "Custom Designed" Ring of 7's is a wonderful and constant reminder of God's encouragement and answered prayers during my time of transition.
